Today is an auspicious day in the Hindu Calender. It is celebrated as Mahaa Shiva Raathri. Devotees offer special worship to Lord Shiva on this day.

Seethaa Jayanthi

Today is an auspicious day in the Hindu Calender. It is the anniversary of the day on which Shree Seetha Devi in her infant form, was found by King Janakaa, during the Tretaa Yugaa, more than 8,69,000 years ago. She was an incarnation of Shree Mahaa Lakshmi and she married Shree Raam (an incarnation of Shree Mahaa Vishnu). Shree Seetha Devi and Shree Raam lived in Tretaa Yuga.

My niece's wedding

I forgot to mention that the wedding of Reshma (my sister's younger daughter) was celebrated on 5th February. I join numerous relatives and friends in wishing the newly married couple.
