This morning there was an interesting program on Ethiopian coffee ritual on Travelxp TV Channel. I have experienced the ritual when I worked in Ethiopia in 1982 and 1983. Let me share the program here. As I have mentioned in a previous post, different types of coffee such as bunna (meaning coffee), bunna wotet (coffee with milk), makkiatho (strong coffee with a small amount of milk) and Cuppichino, the Italian type, are available even in small restaurants in rural areas in the country. I still remember the aroma of their 'makkiatho' as an energy booster when working in Ethiopia.
