Today is a very auspicious day to Hindus and is celebrated as Mathsya Jayanthi. It was on this day in Kritha yugaa, the earliest yugaa, more than 30,00,000 years ago, that Shree Mahaa Vishnu incarnated as Divine Fish on planet Earth for a good cause, as in all His later Incarnations. (In Samskritam, 'mathsya' means fish and 'jayanthi' means birthday).
Welcome to my blog. In this blog, I share my views mainly on issues related to Hinduism and K-12 Education. Sometimes I write on political issues related to human welfare and socio-economic development. I hope that you find my blog interesting. Thanks.

Seethaa Jayanthi
Today is a very auspicious day in the Hindu Calender. It was on this day during Trethaa Yugaa, millions of years back, that Shree Seethaa Devi was found in her infant form by King Janakaa when he was ploughing his field. Seethaa Devi, an Avataar of Shree Mahaa Lakshmi, married Lord Shree Raam, an Avataar of Shree Mahaa Vishnu. Devotees celebrate this day as the birthday of the Divine Mother.
