Shree Mahaa Vishnu Fest

Today is a very auspicious day in the Hindu Calender. This day is celeberated as Ratha Sapthami. Devotees offer special worship to Shree Mahaa Vishnu residing in the Sun. They offer special worship to Sun Deity.

It is a custom to draw the Sun, the Chariot, Lord Shree Mahaa Vishnu, seven horses on a clean plate using Kumkum water before beginning the worship ritual. I remember my beloved mother doing this. I also remember my beloved brother who used to bring Erukkam leaves for my bath on this day.

This festival symbolises thanks giving to Sun Deity who gives respected Solar Energy to all living things. Like all other deities, Sun carries out it's responsibilities under Lord Shree Mahaa Vishnu's Orders.

The seven horses in the chariot represent seven main colours in Sunlight.

It proves that our Scriptures mentioned that Sunlight consists of seven main colours, billions of years before Sir Isacc Newton's dicovery.

But unfortunately our School Science Textbooks never mention the above fact and thereby mislead our youngsters.

 Jai Shree Lakshmi Naaraayanaa🙏

Abuse of Vaishnavite Scriptures

Sri Sankara TV Channel is a very popular Hindu Religious Channel. It telecasts many good programs and shows.

Sometimes it telecasts programs that deviate norms prescribed by Hindu Scriptures. One such program is about Shidi Sai Baba telecast live from Shirdi from 12 noon daily. It shows someone worshipping Sai Baba by chanting Purusha Sooktham. This is absolutely wrong. Shirdi Sai Baba is not Lord Shree Mahaa Vishnu.

Purusha Sooktham should be used only for worshipping Lord Shree Mahaa Vishnu and no body else.

Sankara TV should stop telecasting such bad practices.

Jai Shree Lakshmi Naaraayanaa🙏.

My beloved brother

According to Gregorian Calender, today marks the end of one year since my beloved brother passed away. I remember him with heavy heart.

Following image shows Reshma, my niece (sister's daughter) and Ramesh, my beloved brother, at a function held on the first birth anniversary of my brother's grandson a few years ago:

I wish that my beloved brother's soul is at the Lotus Feet of Shree Mahaa Vishnu and that it serves Him eternally. I also wish that the souls of my beloved parents are the Lotus Feet of Shree Mahaa Vishnu and that they are serving Shree Hari eternally.

Jai Shree Lakshmi Naaraayanaa🙏.

As part of Sankraanthi Fest, today is also a very auspicious day. All Hindus offer special worship to cows, revered as mothers, on this day.

Lord Shree Krishna has mentioned his love for cows in his numerous quotes. His popular Name Gopaalaa is evidence of this.

A verse from our Scriptures states cows' importance as follows:

Namo Brahmanya Devaaya Gho Braahmana hithaayacha
Jagath hithaaya Krishnaaya Govindaaya Namo Namaha🙏.

My hospital stay

I am sorry that I couldn't write any post for a few days due to severe physical disposition.

I had to get admitted in a reasonably good multi-specialty hospital near my beloved siste's house in Vellore. With very low blood, the clinic is ordering for 2 bottles of blood, confirm that all parameters are back to normal and then discharge me in about five days. Thanks to Dr Sankar, Dr Karan,  Sandhya and other paramedical staff. Although things went on well, I lost my newly bought wrist watch at the hospital. My watch was returned to me soon after my abdominal CT Scan. I wore it and went to my room. On the next day, when I liked to wear it, it was not there. Probably one of the paramedical staff stole it. Following is a photo of the wristwatch that I lost:

By God's Grace, the cold climate seems to be swaying away, welcoming warmth. Right now I feel thirsty and I am awaiting non-Alcoholic Shwepps Ginger Ale as it will be soothing to my throat.

I am grateful to my beloved sister for her emotional support and to the hospital staff for emotional and physical support.

I wish that I leave my mortal remains as early as possible according to Shree Hari's Plan.

Eesham Naaraayano Hari 🙏.
