There is a basic difference between Western and Hindu calenders. In the former, a day begins from midnight and lasts for 24 hours until the next midnight. In the latter, a day begins when the Sun rises and lasts up to Sun rise on the next day.
Today is a very auspicious day in the Hindu Calender. This is the day on which Shree Mahaa Vishnu incarnated as Shree Krishnaa on our Mother Earth.
Shree Sathyaathma Theertha Swaamiji, Uttaradi Mutt's chief saint, explains the Glories of Shree Krishnaa in this video.
I give links to videos in Hindi, Sanskrit and other Indian languages for my friends who know these languages. If you don't know these languages, you may seek the help of someone who knows these lamguages.
